    Here We Go Again

I begin this review with a disclaimer..I do not favorably review movies just because one of my cleleb crushes is in the movie! I'm a grown woman who can seperate issues.
Now..I loved it. I loved Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels too. This is a Guy Ritchie film. Some parts are a little tedious and some are confusing enough that you will have to ponder over them later, but the action scenes are pure action with a dose of comedy. I love a movie where someone dies and you laugh about it..really makes you think.
The stand out actors are Toby Kebbell as Johnny Quid. Heroin chic punk rocker to the core. David Bark-Jones as Bertie, the well dressed, calm mannered take care of business guy. The dichotomy of his character will shock and awe..trust me. Idris Elba as Mumbles is so smooth and so matter of fact he wins you over in a heartbeat. Then of course there is Gerry as One Two. He has come a long way from Dracula 2000 and he has learned every step of the way. I love him.

    Real class with RocknRolla

     by  treyraider

If you liked Snatch this is a must see. It is very similar in it's premise, like most of Ritchie's movies. A couple of guys who are unwittingly over their heads and we have a whole bunch of fun watching them get out of it. Hilarious dialogue spoken with British wit and even better acting. A slew of characters who all are entertaining in their own right, and even when it seems as though it is going off subject it always finds it's way back with a bang. Also remember that in Richie's movies there is always a wild card that seems completely out of left field, but is still entertaining until he ties it in to the story when it matters the most. Also I'm glad to see that they guaranteed there will be a sequel with the characters returning for another go round. The only thing I didn't like about it was Ludacris. I guess he is the newest addition to the tradition of trying to make rappers actors. He just isn't that good. To sum up, it's fun, it's gritty, and it's well written. A must see

    Yea, Baby!

     by  snackbar

A terrific cinematic joy-ride, with suspence, action, humor, great casting/acting/soundtrack, all bonded together by a clever screenplay/plot. Looking very forward to, and hoping not to be disappointed by, the next installment. One of the few in years I left the theater wanting to see again.

    Ritchie is back in form

     by  txstr

Finally! Guy Ritchie is back with a real British gangser movie in the vein of Snatch and Lock, Stock, & Two Smoking Barrels. The cast does a wonderful job (Butler is in especially fine form as a small-time hood), the witty dialogue is top-notch, and the pacing of the movie is fast and keeps the audience involved and interested. It's extremely off-beat and funny (the only real action sequence is basically played for laughs).

If you like Snatch or LSTSB, then go see RockNRolla, you'll love it.
