My kids loved it, I loved it and I think everyone with kids who has the spirit of annual holidays will love this movie. It has great action, a great villain and a plot that is wonderfully conceived as the Boogeyman tries to make all the great spirits of the world powerless with his terrible plan. A new spirit arises to try to save the day - Jack Frost. Jack never saw himself as a savior and struggles with the role until he is really needed. It is a heartwarming and fun tale for everyone!

Rise of the Guardians is a great movie for all ages. Action and storyline were real for us all - search for own place, competing with those that are successful, good vs. evil, light and dark, trust and alliances, et al. Timeless characters that old and young love makes it a great famiily movie. For the serious and intellectuals, the storyline and moral points are well integrated to have a good discussions with your older children. For young children, a new timeless movie that they are ready for the next one. My son already went to the Library to check out the book on which the movie was based.

Rise of the Guardians

This movie was very dark. It equated believing in Santa with preventing evil. What's up with that? I was depressed when I left the movie -- the Boogie man looked like the shooter of the school in CT. I should have taken them to see The Hobbit instead, but I was worried that The Hobbit would be too violent. I think the themes in this movie were about as dark...

This movie was one of the best I have seen in a while. It had a good story, the graphics were awesome and my 13 year old grandkids loved it. They have already told me they want it when it comes out on dvd. I would say that it might be a little scary for very young kids (maybe not if seeing it on a small screen at home) with how loud the speakers are in the theater and the great grapics on a huge screen coming at them.

I had high hopes for this film after seeing a preview and was not let down in the least. Guillermo del Toro lent a hand as a Producer and his influence can clearly be seen in the design and character structure. The Sandman is a personal favorite and I loved the behind the scenes feel of the story. I believe it will delight children and adults alike and would see it again. Go, enjoy, and believe!
