Simple but sweet

I find it humorous that Jessie Eisenberg went from being Mark Zuckerburg to an animated talking blue macaw. In The Social Network, he plays a confident, no-nonsense character. In Rio, he plays the opposite, and he nails it. I found that I enjoyed both Rio and Rango in their own special ways. In Rango, my adult side that liked gritty tales, witty banter, and cracks that fly over the kids heads was satisfied. In Rio, my inner child that liked vibrant colors, euphoric adventure, and adorable characters in both charming scenes and action sequences was given its fill. I enjoyed it almost as much, if not as much, as I did Rango. Humor-wise, I chuckled a few times around the beginning, but it wasn't until Tracy Morgan's Luis character showed up that I released a few honest laughs. The entire thing plays out like a shot of manic energy right up until the ending. Kung Fu Panda 2 and Cars 2 seem to have some competition this year.
