The first Rio was so good. This one didnt keep the kids engaged my 6 year old almost fell asleep and wanted to leave early. I would rather watch the first one again and get my money back for this one.

Good Sequel...

This movie was a good sequel. One can hardly fault Blue Sky for making it, and in honest review, I didn't even know this was coming out until this year...I am usually up to date on when movies are coming out. Anyways, They created a movie in which Kids would enjoy it, and the subtle Adult oriented jokes are sprinkled in (They are hidden, and trust me, children won't pick up on the exact meaning of the jokes (a few times when watching, the Adults laughed while the kids all sere silent) and they are fully appropriate for the ratings, so don't worry about hidden meanings). I am usually a High Grader, but this left me feeling happy that I saw it, but left me only semi satisfied...To be expected. If you liked the original, you will like this. We dive deeper into Pearl's Past, as we pretty much know Blu's past from the First movie.

Wanted to really like this sequel.

There's no comparison to RIO so knowing that I was hoping the sequel would have been more music-driven. It felt disjointed and made just to make a movie. Having said that, my grandkids, ages 7 and 11, really enjoyed it, especially liked the part where the red birds made peace with Blue and his species so they could live in harmony. It's a lesson about bullying versus working together for the good of a community. The animation was superb and the soccer scenes very funny. I feel confident the children in your life will enjoy the movie; you on the other hand may wish to nap.

Not bad - Not great

Nothing ground breaking here. Young children will find it entertaining. Story is predictable. Jokes are one liners and sight gags. Best to see a matinee or wait for video. Well, it's a sequel...

A weak follow up to Rio

Songs weren't nearly as good as the first one and it wasn't nearly as funny. Both of our boys got bored about half way through it.
