The theater we went to had a very poor DVR copy of the original live event. The sound cut out every few minutes and the screen pixelated--much like when you lose satellite signal. I don't know if the original viewers in my area had the same problem, but it was not a great experience. A theater employee told us that they were sorry and that the copy they were using was like this all the way through. When the sound cut out for 5 mins straight, we got up and left. However, the theater gave us our money back and also gave us each a free movie pass. While I wasn't happy with what happened, the theater did a great job keeping us happy.
Oh, and what we did see of the movie was absolutely GREAT! I'm sure the whole thing would have been just as good, which is why I rated it a "GO." We plan on coming to the October event.

I was always a huge fan of Mystery Science Theater 3000. I've been following along through Rifftrax and when I learned of the riff they were going to do on Starship Troopers, I just had to be there. I missed the first run and was super thrilled to learn there was an encore! My girlfriend and I went last night to the encore showing of SST. Absolutely hilarious and genius! Can't wait for Night of the Living Dead!

This was a great movie. Adding the Rifftrax to it made it incredibly funny and somehow even better. Never did a review before, but had to tell people, Rifftrax is the best. One funny line after another.

The Rifftrax Live presentation of "Starship Troopers" was very funny! We laughed quite a bit as Mike, Kevin, and Bill did their thing. The only thing that would have made it better is if this had been a live MST3K show featuring Mike and the Bots. BTW... the gorillas? Classic MST misdirection bit.
Looking forward to Rifftrax Live "Night of the Living Dead" next month!

If you are reading this at all, you are aware of the phenomenon of Mystery Science Theater 3000 in the ninties, but perhaps not of its continuation in the form of RiffTraxx thereafter. Well same guys.
I went with two of my quick-thinking friends and the three of us laughed more than if we had attended an actual comedy. Their sarcasm, timing, teamwork and smarts have only become more finely honed over time.
You do not absolutely, positively have to be a huge fan of the original show, just go and have fun. Get your body into the seat, Mike, Kevin and Bill will do the rest.
