It wasn't great but it didn't suck. There were quite a few good funny lines "Rombies"! But likewise there were some not funny at all lines. 50/50....

This one, like the other RiffTrax Live events I've been to, was a scream! The guys were totally on it, there was another Norman short to start the film and it's always a great experience to have an entire crowd to laugh along with.

A classic film I remember seeing as a kid. Scared me to death. I couldn't imagine laughing at this movie, but I knew I could count on Mike, Bill and Kevin to be up to the task. I thank them for our new inside jokes and references that we intend to get some mileage out of for the next few years, including our new favorites: Unexpected Boars Head and "I like candy.".
Of course, I always look forward to the short with "Norman", and his catch phrase..."Ughhhhhhhh".
I have attended two RiffTrax shows, and always bring a MST3K newbie or two. We will be back on December 5th for "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians". So awful goodness!
Thanks Mike, Bill and Kevin..............we will always need you!

If you love RiffTrax, you missed a fun night at the movies. If you don't know what RiffTrax is (are?) check out their website and see what it's all about.
My only complaint about the movie was the audience. I think a RiffTrax movie should have a little it of audience participation - the Rifftrax guys are not the only ones with sense of humor. But of course the audience shouldn't be TOO talky, or they drown out the real riffers.
Our audience was on the zombie side of things. They laughed appreciatively but didn't really seem to get into things. And one twit was texting during it. But happily put away her cell phone when I went down to her row (she was on the aisle) and told her how annoying it was.
Anyway - this was a classic RiffTrax version of a movie meant to be mocked.

Their spin on the extra dialogue was hysterical! I can't say as I get the opening short? I guess I was expecting something a little more Halloweeny. Also, I miss when they used to have musical guests during the show. I wish they'd go back to that.
Overall, it was damn fun, and I'll see you when Santa Clause Conquers The Martins!
