The Boys at Rifftrax Never Fail to Impress

By hawkscoii

Mike, Bill, and Kevin slayed again at their latest Rifftrax Live! showing. They had me laughing so hard, I may have thrown out my back. If they follow their history, this one will be available on demand in a short while. Grab it from their site only if you're ready for some belly laughs during one of the bleakest (and first!) zombie movies ever.

Absolutely hilarious to see the guys from Mystery Science Theater 3000 back together ripping movies...live! Took my daughter to see this with me. She's too young to remember MST3K, but wants to see it now because she loved this movie. Can't wait for the next one in December!

This was such a funny show and perfect for the week before Halloween. I love that the Rifftrax guys are doing more of these shows, and there will be another one in December! Fans of MST3K should really check out the Rifftrax website and go to one of these live shows. So much fun.

Good, but not as good as their others

Had I not seen any other RiffTrax offerings, or never watched MST3K, I probably would have been convulsed with laughter. This one had its moments. The "spade" and Scooby-Doo comments had me in hysterics. NOTLD is still respected by many as a "classic" and not a "really bad movie," the latter being usually what the boys target. I had never seen NOTLD (bizarre, since I was a teen when that movie came out), because I thought it would be "too scary." Of course, it wasn't. There were enough of their standard on-target barbs, though, to keep the (full) theatre laughing. I don't know that it'd be suitable for little kids, but certainly the middle school set on up. MST3K was a mainstay of family life when my kids were growing up (and they continue to be MST3K/RiffTrax aficionados as adults). I saw the movie with a Romero devotee, and he went reluctantly, lest he see his hero besmirched and adulterated by riffing. He liked it. I'll never miss one of their shows!

As always, the guys from Rifftrax never fail to keep us in stitches! The Night of the Living Dead is the perfect vehicle for their antics! Especially loved their reference to President Obama upon encountering the hero/mistaken ghoul actor in the film! Keep up the good laughs, guys!
