    Resurecting the Champ

     by  LG33

This was a GOOD movie. IT engages you and just when you think you have it figured out theres a twist. S.L. Jackson was outstanding., E. Hartnett was very good and kept up with this seasoned pro. Alan Alda was excellent in his character role.
It was nice to have a movie that did not depend upon sex, profanity or 10 megaton explosions to impress me.
A well told and acted story.

    A good story

     by  douglasfenton

It has been a long time since I seen a movie, that was all story, very little action. it was entertaining and not predictable. The ending makes you think some..

    Not a KO but close!

     by  Ann_Fan moviesrule

I was surprised how engrossing I found this movie. Samuel Jackson just gets better and better, if that is possible. A good storyline about sportswriting, or any reporting really and the importance of checking your facts. The cast does very well, Josh Hartnett is competant and it is nice to see Alan Alda show up in these character parts. No need to be put off if you are not a boxing fan, that is not the point at all.

not as depressing as it seems

     by  cgcgwg

Based on the trailer I thought it would be depressing but the turning point in the movie went so quickly that I wasn't made overly anxious, unlike the Will Smith movie where you waited for most of the movie for something positive.
