the best resident evil yet

this movie got your attention from the very beginning to the very end. the beginning was exciting and unique. all of the actors played the role to the best they could and everything seemed to blend together with no boring or bad acting scenes whatsover. it was actioned packed, but not crude or stupid. sure, it is a science fiction movie but that is the type of movie that it is. the zombies were amazing and the best they have been from all of the movies. the women in the film are beautiful and add to the movie. the very end was great because it somehow linked reality to fantasy for me.

Packed with great surprises and non-stop action. Effects are amazing and keep you wanting more. Moves the story of Alice forward while bringing back a lot of familiar faces from her past. People in the theatre grumbled about the set-up for a sixth film- but wouldn't we be upset if this were the end of the line for Resident Evil movies? Fans will love this; hyper-critical "Fanboy" types will grumble over the acting, plot, etc... but this isn't "Les Miserables," it's Resident Evil- and it's incredibly entertaining and takes you out of the everyday world. Isn't that what going to the movies is all about? Fans of the previous films and of Milla Jojovich must see! Terrific film score, costumes, and effects- the overall "look" is riveting. Just go, have fun, and let yourself be entertained.

Milla Jovovich says the next one will be her last R.E. movie...

...and I'm thinking, "Too little, too late." I enjoyed the first movie, but those feelings quickly deteriorated as the storylines in each additional chapter became more and more convoluted. Integrating characters from the video games made each movie all the messier as none of them could have survived without Alice, which makes them glorified extras. As for this movie, I only have one question: of all the monsters to choose from, why did Paul W.S. Anderson use the same creature from the first film in a chase scene? Using one that hasn't shown up yet - a Hunter, Mr. X, etc. - would have redeemed in terms of originality. As it is, I just felt ripped off seeing something that I'd already seen Alice defeat in parts one and two come crawling around; the fact that it is bigger doesn't make it better. That said, if it had been Nemesis - that would have been totally worth it. It was nice to get the original cast back together; I would have liked to see James Purefoy.

In this day and age I dont expect action movies to have horrible cgi scenes. Well this movie just had horrible cgi effects. Not to mention just horrible acting jobs by everyone. Maybe thats why the cgi was so bad the actors just didnt sell the fact they were on a green screen for 99% of the movie. Bad acting period. Where for art thou fifth element?!?
