I enjoyed the movie and did not really expect anything but, fighting, a quick story, zombies, and action out of the wazoo. It fills all of my action expectations and I actually felt sorry for the little girl that fell victim to the umbrellas corporation that was really sad. I can't wait for the next one and they did not disappoint on the action the 3D was great and utilized the way it should be. I saw it in IMAX 3D and I would watch it again, it did feel too rushed and needed to be at least a half hour longer to get the action sequences just right. I already saw the other 48 movies and this one delivered what I expected.

After reading critics and fan reviews, I wasn't sure about watching this. Saw it in IMAX 3D and I really liked it. The acting wasn't great, but it's a video game movie and acting in games isn't great either. That's part of the fun. If you're a fan of the games, you'll love it. I loved seeing all the bad guys in the game. The action was nonstop. The visuals were cool too, some fun 3D moments throughout. There weren't any moments when I was bored or not into the movie. And I hardly ever post reviews on this. Just felt I had to since so many people gave it a bad review.

This like the others in the line, is a very good movie. I was hooked from start to finish. I'm only surprised Rebecca Chambers wasn't in none of these. The fights between Alice and Ada versus the two Majinis with the axes will always be remembered in my head. Barry was a trooper till the end. If you haven't seen this, go see it, you won't be dsiappointed. Here's hoping in the final one which will be the 6th one, the director goes all out and put everyone who didn't die from previous films together to face the final fight, plus put a spin on it and have Spencer the creater of the virus, and Wesker have a heart to heart talk, then he is killed by Wesker like from RE5. Then for the finale, the final 5 survivors: Claire, Chris, Jill, Leon, and Alice versus Wesker and in the end Alice dies, because overall the game story follows everyone else.

RE 5 picks up the story from the end of Afterlife. Number 5 tops the rest. Paul Anderson gives us a different take on some of the same characters, while bringing other video game characters into the story line in a twisted way which brings the story back to full circle which has no doubt, aligned all the Video Games Characters with The Movies. I look forward to seeing how Mr. Anderson will end closing the story as he clearly left the ending open for one more chapter to complete the series which should pit Alice against the Red Queen herself in the final RE installment..

...and I'm thinking, "Too little, too late."
I enjoyed the first movie, but those feelings quickly deteriorated as the storylines in each additional chapter became more and more convoluted. Integrating characters from the video games made each movie all the messier as none of them could have survived without Alice, which makes them glorified extras.
As for this movie, I only have one question: of all the monsters to choose from, why did Paul W.S. Anderson use the same creature from the first film in a chase scene? Using one that hasn't shown up yet - a Hunter, Mr. X, etc. - would have redeemed in terms of originality. As it is, I just felt ripped off seeing something that I'd already seen Alice defeat in parts one and two come crawling around; the fact that it is bigger doesn't make it better.
That said, if it had been Nemesis - that would have been totally worth it.
It was nice to get the original cast back together; I would have liked to see James Purefoy.
