it was not what i was thinking. but man it kick some real butt. very good movie. hope to see more movie come out later. if you seen the other one's. you must see it. not a kid movie for sure. the acting was about the some.

dont waste your time

This one and the 2nd of the series are equally bad.

I hope the next one is the last of this series.

premise is cheating but great action horror

The convenience of the story is a bit weak but the action and 3D are great. My wife's constant jumping and screaming we're great indications of their success in the horror department. A fan of the series, the video games (mainly RE4) and a fan of this movie too. Amazing how well Milla has maintained the same look, shape and age through this whole series. Kudos.

Worst of the franchise terrible story terrible all together

If your a Resident Evil Fan go!

I'm a fan and this time saw it in 3D. It made it worth wild. Now had I not seen it in 3D I would have been disappointed that I spent the money when I could wait a few months for it to be on pay preview. It's typical action which is awesome. I mean the movie is good and I will not give out the spoiler but it keeps you hanging on. If your not a fan and haven't kept track wait for the DVD.

Good movie. Girls rocked in this movie. They kicked ass. I forgot it was suppose to be crazy.

This was the worst of all of them. I was very disappointed.

Not as good as expected

Plenty of action but the story itself seemed a little redundant. Part of the issue for me stems from Anderson. That is the worst acting I have ever seen. His voice and movements all seem extremely exaggerated in this film compared to others. Movie started with great action then fell off with thirty minutes or more of dialogue, found myself dosing at this point.

Video Game

It felt like I was watching a video game. One scene to another and one villain after another I have watched all the Resident Evil Films and this one was a video game. It was still good, but I hope they stop with this film.

Great action

At this point I wouldn't be surprised what they come out with next. A lot of characters from the series. That was cool. But the storyline made no sense.

It was the best since the first film...

For me, that is how I felt about this movie. I was not a game player, and have seen all the films as a storyling, but this movie "feels" like I imagine the video game feels. Taking place almost entirely in an Umbrella Corp. facility, it plays out just like a level in the game. The action is non-stop, the characters are familiar and the storyline is a good one - they wrap up some hanging threads and leave you wanting more. I recommend seeing it in the theatre, the beginning redux is to die for. Overall fun, a good length with no wasted time, and a very fine way of leaving you with a satisfaction that other films do not. SEE IT!

the worst

The movie was detached from the story line and reality. I would not take my worst enemy to see this one. The remake of Dawn of the Dead failed miserably. I would rather see starship trooper 4 before I see this one. I think I'm still sick. The movie is the real virus.

Good action but lacked depth. Movie was condensed way too much!

Overall the movie was good and the effects were great. When Retribution was first announced, it was supposed to be over 2 hours long. Why did the director cut over 40 minutes from the movie? I believe this cut hurt the movie overall. The cut probably had more story and content we missed at the movies. I know it will get a blu-ray extended version but it should have never been cut from original format. See Wiki for original run time. Good movie, but I'd wait until you can actually see the entire movie on Blu-ray release date. I look forward to watching the original score not cut.
