Not Impressed

The Resident Evil franchise has had it's ups and downs, but number five is a new low. Worse, in my opinion, than Resident Evil Extinction, Retribution is one-hour and thirty minutes of hardcore bull-crap followed by five minutes of actual story that basically only sets up Resident Evil 6. I'm a Milla fan, and don't get me wrong; she still kicks ass, but her involvement in this film is disappointing. Perhaps the franchise will get back on track with 6.

Resident Evil My Review

Don't waste your time wait for DVD bootleg. Don't pay extra money for this film (3D, IMAX). It's like what in the world the creators was thinking when they put this movie out. If another is to be made they better get help from Steven Spielberg. This movie just killed the franchise and will be in and out the movie theaters very quick. Through out the whole movie you are going to be like what is this. Fights scenes could have been a lot better and better story.

Just Awful

While I wasn't expecting anything other than a B-level action/horror movie, the latest addition to the Resident Evil franchise failed to reach even that mark. There were very few redeeming qualities to this film. The script was laughable, and not in a good way; the acting was stilted and inorganic; the pacing was ghastly. I expected this movie to end much earlier than it did, but the director chose to prolong this torturous experience for as long as possible, which only made the film more ridiculous and comical. In the end, this movie should have been a direct to DVD sequel. If, by some cruel miracle, another movie is produced, this is one fan who will not be in attendance.
