    My Name is Alice...

    by

I could tell you all the same pros and cons of this movie that everyone else is saying but I will spare you the repeated rhetoric. What I will tell you is that there is no point in spending the extra money to see it in 3D as there is not much there. I did find it an enjoyable movie that I would not turn off it it was on the SyFy channel. Like the Underworld franchise this gives you some hot girls with an excuse to be in sexy cosplay outfits, mindless killing, slow motion fight sequences, and a story line a five year old can understand. Is it a pinnacle movie that will leave you feeling like you are a better person or that you have learned valuable life lessons - No. But it will entertain you for an hour and ten minutes - I deducted some time because Alice's summary of all the other movies is unnecessary. I say you could wait to rent it but you will probably need to see it so what should be the last movie will make sense when it comes out next year.

    Awesome!

Great movie. Usually by the 5th movie in a long line of horror films (ie. Friday the 13th, Freddy Krueger) they just get dumb, but this was just great. The only bad thing I can say is the fight scene at the end drug on too long, but if you are a RE fan, you will love it.

    Best CGI So far

Definetly realistic looking effects on the monsters, and in 3d no less, they did a great job on this one, youll see only alittle bit of resident bs here and there that comes with every film, but after the 1/3rd mark, its a roller coaster right of non stop action, 5 stars in my book

Good Movie never ever a dull moment. But could have been better

    by Fine69

First of all The movie lets anyone who has never ever seen the rest be able to jump right into the action. The intro is cool then the whole back story as well which gets you right to the beginning of this movie. The 3D is really well done and not over the top. The movie though starts out like a video game. First you enter a zone no weapons you find of course weapons hidden around. Then there is something that forces you to the next level of arena. Once your there you battle the bads then the big bads and then all hell breaks lose making you move to the "You Guessed It" then next level. As soon as this becomes obvious A total plot twist and really old characters show even meld some from the animated movie and video game in it. Dont take your kids to this. As soon as you think its just a video game they change it up and it settles into a real action movie. Great action never a dull moment. I forgot to eat any of snacks I had watching it. So one of all of them the best No but good.

    Pretty Good

The plot was kind of lacking (or maybe I just didn't follow it all) but the movie was aesthetically pleasing (at least in 3D). It was nice to see old faces. I would recommend it if you've seen the other 4 movies.

    Distopian, Surreal, Awesome

    by

These movies haven't really tried to present a coherent narrative for a while now. Rather than tell a story, they are using the medium of 3D film to depict a distopian fugue state. Visually stunning, thrilling, and nonsensical, it owes at least as much to William S Bourroughs as George Romero at this point. I love it, I don't completely understand it. Why is Wesker rescuing her now? How is Wesker even alive? Why does the Red Queen want everyone dead, when originally she was tasked with preventing the outbreak? Who knows, but those are the kind of things that happen in those strange dreams that aren't quite nightmares...

    Great action flick

If you're expecting a beautiful storyline and character development, you must not know Resident Evil. If you're looking for kick *** action scenes and some zombie gore, you're in the right place. Retribution definitely does not disappoint. Loved having Michelle Rodriguez back. Milla is perfection, as always

    come on son...

SPOILER ALERT. i waited so long for this movie, and it was just a disappointment. the best part was the dream sequence, and even that could have been tweeked. for example... more time could have been spent on setting up how the zombies got into there house ( hello... 2012 who leaves the from door open these days.) and less time spent on recapping the last 4 movies and bringing newbies up to speed. if i was a newbie and this was the first resident evil that i saw i would have thought ok not bad, but im not, im a hard core zombie fan, that has seen all the res evil trilogy, so i expect shocks thrills and suspense. what happened to the classic somebody in the group is infected who can it be? and how can you fight in 5 inch heels? and alice becoming so maternal, is there a back story to that? and last, if dream alices' face is being sucked by a squid face zombie upstairs how is she found dowstairs with her face in pristine condition.

    ALICE FOR PRESIDENT!!

    by

Pretty cool. Never mind the absolute plot, even though it is what it is. Just sit back and watch Ms Milla do what she does best: shoot, kick ass, kill, repeat. You wont be disappointed.

Def NOT the best Resident Evil

    by

I must say I don't know much about the video game but I am a fan of the movies and this was by far, for me, the worst Resident Evil ever made. It felt so rushed with only shooting and fighting for the most part. I wasnt expecting a great story line but this was a total nonsense with a couple of great scenes. Not really worth the 3D if you ask me, altho my favorite scene was most def worth watching in 3D (the one with the giant axeman). It was just too rushed thru it felt like a half-way job to me. I love Milla and Michelle but this will be far from my favorite Resident Evil, atho all in all, it's a good 1h30 of entertainment.

    Resident Evil: Retribution 3D

    by insane1

I was petty good my wife says. The 3D effects were good, the snow, biohazzard, weapons effect very good. The story line was well told and explained. Milla, as always, was excellent and how she will be back for the next movies. If she is not in anymore of the movie, I will never go and see another Resident Evil movie. SHE IS ALICE,ALICE IS HER. Please do not take children under 16. Its petty gory. GO AND SEE IT.

    Alright

This movie has its ups and downs, but it is not near as good as the previous movies. Seemed like there was a bit of a struggle to come up with stuff to put in this movie. The ending did seem like there was room for another movie after this one.

    So-So at Best

    by TiggT

I was soooo unimpressed with this movie. It seemed to be a movie made just as a in between the last one, which was pretty good, and the next one. It didn't really seem to have a real plot other than bringing back old faces.

I knew better, but I saw it in 3D which probably made the experience worst as it seemed to slow down the movie unnecessarily for certain effects.
