Why does everyone hate it?
I find it so sad that so few people appreciate this movie. And the funny thing is, I should be the sort of person who hates it the most seeing as I cant stand blood and gore. But I can recognize creativity and originality when I see it and this movie was so different from anything I've seen in my whole life. The plot was outstanding, the music is obsessive (classical cello in a rock opera? coolio!) and the general setting and feel of the movie is wonderfully creepy. Given, I close my eyes at the bloody parts (ive seen it enough times to know when they are) but that just makes it even more exciting. Bottom line, viewers should see Repo! The Genetic Opera with an open mind and with a willingness to expect the unexpected. Its a chillingly truthful look into what would happen to society if nature truly failed that will linger in your mind long after the movie is over, if you let it.
