This is a fun movie!! As someone said: No robots, no aliens, no superheroes who can leap tall buildings in a single bound. Like The Expendables franchise, this is just plain fun entertainment.

What Happened To The Magic?

By MedRed

The first Red wasn't the best movie, but it was charming and entertaining. For Red 2, the budget got bigger, but the quality of the movie got worse. Red 2 focuses too much on love life of Bruce Willis's character. A tangent in the first movie, it's overbearing in this one. Mary-Louise Parker was fantastic in the first movie. She's nothing but annoying in part 2. The veterans completely lost the magic they had in the original. The scripting and interactions are wooden and unnatural. Helen Mirren is great, but both Bruce Willis and John Malkovich fade into the background. The plot is more over the top than the first with the setting being global instead of USA based. The story is even less believable than part 1 and drags for most of the movie. Red 2 uses more expensive ingredients, but forgot to add the secret sauce to the recipe before serving it. There's nothing during or after the credits If you like my reviews, add me as a fan. I'll add you back!

Sequel makes for a good movie

I saw Red 2 with my 19 year old daughter and 2 15 year old girls. We all thought it was a good movie worth seeing. I normally don't like sequels. For a sequel this was a really good movie. You didn't have to see the first Red to enjoy it and it didn't feel forced to be as good as the original. While I didn't love this movie, I didn't love the first one either. But really enjoyed this film as much as the first. As my husband didn't see this movie, I enjoyed it enough to go see it again with him. Like the first movie it was a great combination of comedy and action! Of course Bruce Willis John Malkovich, Hellen Mirren, Mary-Louise Parker, and the rest of the cast bring it together perfectly as they go on their global quest to track down a missing portable nuclear device.

so, if your a senior citizen like me and you just want to have fun and be entertained then this is the movie for you. And, if your not a senior and just want to laugh at the old folks playing with guns and blowing things up, then come see this movie.
