Still awesome as ever. Good movies are great no matter how long they have been around. Makes most movies out today suck big time. Very few great actors/actresses out there today, just spoiled eye candy.

Not a Bad Movie - again

The movie itself was still a good movie. Don't know if it should have been on the iMax screen or just in another theater. With it on the iMax you could see where it was a movie from 1984. All in all it was a good time.

A fun trip back in time!

My husband and I took a couple with us to see Raiders on the IMAX screen who - believe it or not - had never seen the movie before! Such fun was had by all. I have seen this movie so many times it never loses it's appeal for me. And being able to see it on the big screen one more time was a treat. There were some added scenes that I liked and even the fake snakes down in the pit where they found the ARK mixed with enough of the real ones to make it fun and scary(for the couple sitting next to me). We had a blast reliving a wonderful period in filmaking. Whenever Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and Harrison Ford get together it is worth watching!

Indiana Jones and the jump to IMAX

"Raiders of the Lost Ark" is a great film and it makes the transition to IMAX pretty well. Some of the establishing/background shots aren't quite in focus, but once the characters are onscreen everything is crisp, clean and engaging. It was great to finally be able to see Indiana Jones on the big screen.

Better Every Time

So when I heard that this was going to get an IMAX release, I was a little torn. I always make an effort to support my good buddy Harrison Ford, but I wasn't 100% that I was going to see this re-inventing of the Original. I had just seen it a couple months back in its original 35mm format, and it had left such a sweet taste in my mouth that I didn't want any of the conversion problems to ruin my experience. When it got extended, I thought, Ok. I'll go a check it out. Surprisingly, I quite enjoyed myself. More a testament to the perfection of the movie itself than a praise to the IMAX conversion. I wouldn't introduce my kid to the franchise with this version, but it was fun enough and goes to show you how great it is to see a WELL-MADE movie in IMAX. It can really draw you in and suck you up into the magic of movie making! The IMAX did serve it's purpose....I'm now highly anticipating getting my Indiana Jones Blu-Ray Collection. You did it again, Lucas. You got my money! Well done.
