RIPD is Men in Black with a little Constantine thrown in. I had low expectations for this movie which were promptly justified in the 1st 15 minutes. It's fun, but not fun enough to see over the other good movies currently showing.
RIPD is definitely funnier than the last MIB, but that isn't saying much. Jeff Bridges and Mary-Louise Parker are best thing about the movie. Ryan Reynolds's character evolves from immensely unlikable to tolerable.
RIPD's chuckle inducing scenes can't make up for the poor CGI, lack of action, and predictable plot.
If you want to see a great comedic duo in police roles, see The Heat.
if you want to see some scary dead people, see The Conjuring.
If you want to see great action and great CGI, see Pacific Rim.
If you want to see something with Ryan Reynolds, see Turbo.
If you want to see R.I.P.D., wait for it to come out on Red Box or Netflix
There's nothing during or after the credits

I laughed, I gasped, and almost peed my pants because I didn't want to miss any of this movie. I have been looking forward to watching this it since I first saw a preview. This is not a deep movie but if you want to see something different and something that will make you laugh you'll love this one. I wouldn't bring young children to see this movie due to a love scene early on and the monsters. There is no nudity but there is a little sexual innuendo. This is a funny movie which has a mystery the two main characters must solve. Again, this is a movie that will make you laugh.

This is a fun action picture that is kind of a mashup of Ghostbusters and Men In Black, with a wild west character thrown for good measure. Special effects are fun and the actors are good. A good summer popcorn movie.

Well, my wife said she had read it would be funny so I told her to buy the senior tickets. Yes, there were a few "yaks" but, mostly, it was a HUGE (as Fucillo says) disappointment. It appeared to both of us that someone was trying to hark back to the movie "Ghostbusters" with all sorts of alien-looking characters and events. The concept (story) did not seem like something new and there were just too many crazy scenes. It might appeal to much younger folks then us, particularly those who had not seen the Ghostbuster pictures, but for seniors, even at senior prices, it wasn't worth the $$$
