If I had to choose between seeing Quartet and having all my windows blown out by an exploding meteor, it might come down to whether the windows would be covered by insurance, because that at least would be interesting and wouldn't cost me anything.

I loved the movie and the music. The acting was very good. Everybody
Has a story to tell which includes sadness forgiveness and love. We are never to old to enjoy our lives and friends.

Love that line and so believe in this home for talented musicians and singers. In a small theater only a third full and we broke out clapping at the credits. I had tears in my eyes when I saw pictures of the before and after... partly for respect of who they are, remembering some of them and then like me looking so different now that I did not recognize some before the credits. Then, it feels good to laugh at one's self too.

This movie is definitely outstanding and everyone should see it. A beautiful love story that unfolds to opera and classicl music. The cast is amazing and Maggie Smith is at her best as usual. All of the actors did a wonderful job of the persons they portrayed. It is definitely a must see and my husband and I will probably go see it again!

You don't have to be an opera lover to enjoy the interaction between the residents and staff at this retirement home for professional musicians. It's a story of hope when you feel you've lost what you thought was important. It shows how valuable friendships are, how easy it is to misunderstand circumstances and the importance of being able to forgive yourself and others It also makes obvious what we all have in common no matter our situation in life - mortality. I loved everything about this movie. The actors, the music and the beautiful location.
