Wishing there had been more actual music playing by the members of the musicians retirement home, and perhaps a bit more of the back stories of the principal players Quartet was, nonetheless, a pleasing, even uplighting, film about friends helping friends grow older, and about artistic temperament in all its varieties. Quite a novel treatment. I liked it.

Great movie for the "older" viewer. Maggie great as usual. Dustin Hoffman knows of what he directs in this beautifully filmed and meaningful film. A pleasure to see.

What an enjoyable movie! Actors, acting, music, are incredible.
Entertaining and mind opening for a lot of us. (Sorry, I didn't mean to speak for you)
It made me find out how much I have missed in life. Feel good, do yourself a favor, and enjoy this movie.

Excellent portrayal of many personalities. Very enjoyable.
All 3 in our group, from different backgrounds & perspectives...all found it a very worthwhile & entertaining movie. I recommend it highly... to all musicians, entertainers..& friends + the general public.

This is a must see movie for anyone over the age of 55 who appreciates superb acting, beautiful cinematography, aging mega-stars unashamed to display their wrinkles but not their unmatched talent. Best movie I've seen in ages. Very quiet movie but the profound effect will stay with me forever. Mr. Hoffman is a remarkable man, actor and now director.
