This is just your typical "disease mutates and infects humans" horror movie, with the added twist that the hotel gets shut off from the outside world. The setup (TV reporter follows firemen around for the night, and they get trapped in the hotel of sickness) is ridiculous by itself, and the various types of people that just conveniently happen to be in the hotel (doctor, etc.) are just silly.There are a few decent scenes where the sick people are chasing/attacking the reporter and friends, but these are sparsely scattered and do nothing to make up for the lack of substantial character development. The ending becomes obvious very quickly, which makes this movie overall not worth watching.

This movie was absolutely ridiculously stupid...I wasted my money buying it and wasted my time watching it. I was expecting a really great horror movie that kept me on the edge of my seat..yeah, that didn't happen. I found myself laughing at most of this movie...it was why overexaggerated and is in no way scary.
are you serious this was the worst movie i have ever seen i hated it i couldn't see anything because of the camera!!!!!!!!!!!!! i don't get why people think it is scary because it didn't scare me at all and i'm 11 this should scare me but it didn't i mean really it was a stupid story and most of all it sucked so much i would rather barf all night than watch this movie because it was that bad it said r because of gore but there was bairly any i mean there was no blood pretty much and the only scary part is when the little girl turns into a zombie other than that dont waste your money on this it sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The photo on the cover is the last scene of the movie. Completely unrealistic plot. People just don't normally act like that. The Blair Witch-like handheld camera throughout was annoying (although I do commend the cast for accomplishing those lengthy no cut scenes). There was on HILARIOUS part in this movie where the camera man gets realistic and smashes one of the infecteds with his camera. I was so pumped to see this movie and got to do so at a friend's house who got it on netflix. I am so glad I did not waste money on this at the theater or my own netflix rental. It was the movie equivalent of blue balls. There is absolutely no resolution of the conflict, info about what's going on is sparce and only legible through multiple rewinds, and it's open-ended. Watch your cable provider's preview channel instead, it'll be much more rewarding.
