    NOT A BOND MOVIE

    by filmfreak880

i am a big bond fan and i have seen all the bond movies but this movie is a discrace to all bond movies. If you changed Bonds name in this movie you wouldnt even know it was a bond movie. There was nothing Bond about it. Don't be fooled by the action which happens to a lot of people. If you like action movies then you'll like this movie but it is not a bond movie. The story barely made sense.

    Back to Bond Basics

    by Josh2918

When we were hit with Casino Royale, the Bond franchise had been revitalized. The tougher, grittier Bond was now twice as B**a** and less dependent on his endless supply of gadgets. It came as a happy surprise especially to those of us who questioned the choice of Daniel Craig in the beginning. In Quantum of Solace, Craig does it again. He has not lost his touch by any means, and the movie is truly riveting. However, as good as Quantum of Solace is, do not expect to see Casino Royale over again. Bond has gotten back to his basics in some areas. It felt like a classic Bond movie interpreted for modern audiences. I think the best way to describe it is by the work of the directors. Casino Royale was directed by Martin Campbell who also directed an earlier Bond film... Goldeneye. Who could forget Goldeneye? Quantum of Solace was directed by Marc Forster, whose work is also seen in The Kite Runner, Stranger than Fiction, and Finding Neverland. Great director, not the work he is used to.

    Original buzz:

A medium dry martini, lemon peel. Shaken, not stirred.

The awaited sequel, or "continued chapter" would be more appropriate, to the beloved remake of Casino Royal.
Special effects: Top notch and action packed.
Casting: Very well done, I am very pleased with who they chose for the new Bond. I say this as not only a fan of the new remakes, but the older movies as well. Daniel Craig is one of the rare actors that really puts on the role.
Story: Too short, I know it's supposed to be the same chapter, but I would've much rather had two hour and a half features them one two hour and one one hour films... if that makes sense.
Overall it was a good movie, just too short. Rent it.
