My wife and I were big fans of the Alien trilogy. Having that, we went in with greatest expectations that this film would be enjoyable. Unfortunately to our dismay, asside from more current cgi, it was mostly boring. Some situations didn't connect with the storyline and as my title stated, seemed to obviously reflect original situations from the trilogy. There are a few good concepts that rest within the storyline, but I'm not a spoiler. But it's definitely wasn't worth $11 per ticket to find out.

This movie made absolutely no sense, the acting was horrible, the ending was ridiculous, and I am mad I lost sleep and saw this at midnight Thursday night. This movie is completely overrated and I would suggest waiting to see this on cable.

Great visuals and effects. Love Ridley Scott's sense of direction. Only issue was the script, where I would have liked some more story around the big engineer guys, and some better characterization of others so they are more fleshed out. Overall, a good recommendation, and it certainly is better than Alien 3 & Alien Resurrection. I'd give it a B.

If you're looking for vintage "Aliens" type suspense, this movie ain't it. Let's just hope you don't have a snake or squid phobia -lol. Anyway, I'd save the $9.00 and wait for the DVD.

I wanted to like this movie. I really, did. But mainly I laughed at the terrible acting and plot. We didn't even get the alarm sound. I fear for the Blade Runner movie. So sad.
