The only reason I went to this movie was because I was ditching my senior prom with a friend and we thought it was a cool idea to go to Prom on prom night. The movie was predictable and the plot was shallow. However, if you are in the right mood it will make you laugh and it does have its funny moments. Overall though, you won't be missing much if you don't end up seeing it.

Okay, so I was a little apprehensive about going to see a Disney movie about a more teenage topic, but the movie was actually pretty good. The different story lines are easy to follow, and the jokes aren't too corny. My friend and I absolutely loved the movie: it's great for tweens and teenagers (but more for teenagers). Some of the conflicts were a little corny and predictable, but that's about my only criticism. The director did an incredible job with how he meshed the story lines so they're more like interweaving lines, and not parallel ones. The movie focuses a lot around Nova and Jesse, especially they're home lives (parent/kid conflicts) and there are some great scenes at the movie. For sure a 9.5/10!

As the mother of an 8 year old girl - I was a little apprehensive about going to see 'Prom'. I didn't know if it was age appropriate or if I even wanted to start the prom hype this early. After reading some reviews and talking to another mom, we thought it would be okay. And you know what? It wasn't bad - in fact, it was actually pretty good. Of course it's Disney so there was good messaging throughout the film, but it was well done and I found myself caring about the characters. i just wish my high school experience had been like that. One review said there was mild language, but I didn't catch any - and though a bit 'romantic' at times, it was very appropriate and sweet. I was happy when the girls I took all said "EEEW***...." when there was a kiss. Check it out - it was a fun way to spend the evening with three 8 year old girls.

Perfect Hand-holder For The Bubble Gum Set

This one's so squeaky clean one would think it was made by the PC police. Oh, right, IT WAS! Virtually impossible to find anything anyone could object to in this film other than the fact that despite its sanitary composition (gee...the places I could go with that comment) the movie was absolutely awful. That won't stop the bubble-gummers from turning out in droves, nor should it. This film's great for the 11-15 year olds date night. They don't go to watch the film anyway. The only way you'll get the boys there is with a date me.

So happy with Disney for making a clean, age appropriate movie. I'm a 42-yr. old mom who enjoyed it almost as much as her 14-yr. old daughter! The different story lines made for a very interesting movie. There were moments I laughed out loud and other moments I was brought to tears. One thing I noticed and appreciated was how realistic the lives seemed. The best part of all--the relationships between the kids were kept clean, and I so loved that! Thanks, Disney!
