    Mediocore Rush

    by Darkola

The actng in this movie was good for the most part, except for one of the main characters, the bad guy himself Michael Shannon, I dont know why, but for some reason I can never take this guys acting serious. The movie itself is for the most part one constant chase scene on bikes, and although the ins and outs of the chases through traffic was exciting at first, to me it did wear out after about the first 15 minutes, then it seemed to be the same thing over and over again. The movie itself seems is a serious movie, but the director seems to stray off the course now and then by trying to add the wrong kind of humor in this movie, my example would be the police officer on the bike who chases them, to me it was throwing mall cop into what was meant to be a serious movie. I was also disappointed in the way they had Michael Shannon chasing him, as if this kind of pursuit would not draw the attention of the police department itself. I'd give this 2 of 4 stars, wait for the DVD .. Enjoy :)

    Lots of summer fun

A quick 90 minute ride from Columbia to the LES, this movie was a blast--the bike riding scenes left me cringing as the riders scraped past taxis, limos and trucks on the streets of Manhattan. Real bike riding, and a great performance by JGL as Wiley--just right blend of tension and realism in a summer filled with overwrought mega-explosion movies.

    Action Packed - Premium Rush

This movie was much more suspenseful than I thought. We went with only medium expectations and were pleasantly surprised. It's a great move! Full of action with an interesting storyline that gets you hooked. The action and biking throughout is excellent, and we really enjoyed the 'mapping out of the next move' sequences. A thoroughly enjoyable film!

Fun times, just don't go home doing the bike riding from this.

It's the type of movie you would normally watch on FX or TNT in the afternoon. It's light fun and, referencing another review, a throwback to 90's action. The cast was fine in their roles with the standouts being Gordon-Levitt and Shannon playing, I kid you not, Road-Runner and Wile E. Coyote. The movie's not thought provoking nor is it something that will stay with you, other than a potential of wanting to ride your bike stupidly, pass the second day but it's enough of a distraction that at the end of the day you can go home happy.

    Premium Entertainment!

An ordinary day turns for the worse when a man picks up an envelope and is followed throughout the city by a dirty cop. Joseph Gordon-Levitt plays (Wilee) who is a bike messenger in New York City, and is someone who does not fear for his death even going at 50 miles per hour with no brakes. He picks up an envelope and is followed by Michael Shannon (Bobby Monday) throughout Manhattan. Dania Ramirez plays (Vanessa) who is on the same team as Wilee, and who must work together to do what is right, and to not be killed. Other actors in the flick are Sean Kennedy (Marco), Kym Perfetto (Polo as Kymberly Perfetto) , Anthony Chisholm (Tito), Wolé Parks (Manny), Aasif Mandvi (Raj), Jamie Chung (Nima) and Christopher Place (Bike Cop). The movie will take you on a ride of your life, and through the view of a bike messenger doing everything in their power to deliver mail. A good end of the summer flick, go catch it and have some fun. It is worth the money!

    FAST, FASTER..................

    by

For the continuous bike action sequences shot in NYC traffic alone it is a must see. No they are not splitting the atom here but they are also not blowing s**t up and there is minimal violence. For an action movie that is fresh. I personally love Joseph Gordon-Levitt and he carries the film well. Summer fun!

Hop on the handle bars and go for the ride

I enjoyed it. The script was pretty predictable. There were no exploding action scenes but the movie kept you going for the most part. Take the kids, the boys will the bike scenes; high speeds and jumps.

    PREMIUM RUSH

I have to be honest with you. I had a hard time trying to stay objective about this movie. So I will give you the good and bad high points. The storyline is very good. The acting and bike tricks and stunts are also very good. The main thing I didn't like was the glorification of all the illegal law breaking things that many bike riders do. I would say if you can go and watch this movie and leave your opinion of bike riders in city traffic outside, then it's a good movie. If you on the other hand dislike those riders this isn't the film for your stress level or have a good day with.

    Worth The Ride!

This was really good! I liked the style of it; with all the maps and the clocks to pinpoint the action; a style that reminded me of the show "24" in a way.

Great movie with an engaging cast and plot

I didn't know what to think going into this movie, but after the first few minutes, I enjoyed the rest of the movie. People may find it confusing with the back and forth, but I thought the flashbacks to fill in the story is what makes the movie

I definitely want to buy this movie once it comes out on DVD. I may even watch it again in the theatres.

    Preminum Rush

If you like not stop action from beginning to the end, then this is the movie for you. Anyone that has ever been to NYC can attest to the congestion which makes some of the scenes very believable. I'm an older dude but still enjoyed the movie.

A Good Time was had by All!

    by jzactor

Premium Rush is lots of fun! It is a film filled with action sequences that are remarkable, humorous, daring, and exciting! There is a marvelously nasty bad guy in it and unusual, amazing, athletic, witty and wonderful actors, and some beautiful female characters,as well, I enjoyed it even more than I expected. When actors commit themselves and use the exactly correct blend of hunor and pathos, which I must credit the director for that as well, then to coin a phrase, it results in a rollicking good time at the movies. The film is a rush of emotion, action, danger, pathos, and romance, all rolled into a very simple plot. The characters make it so good. So here's to Premium Rush, a good time at the movies. I was thinking as I watched it that it is exactly what we go to the movies for:escape, action, adventure, romance, good guys, bad guys, and in this case, masterful use of wit and whimsy, too.

    Thumbs down

I walked out of this movie ? and I've only walked out of a movie once before. There was no story line, just ridiculous bike riding in the streets of NYC. I wish I'd gone to see Bourne Legacy.

I found it to drag a little in the beginning maybe for about the first 5 min or so, but it sure picked up the pace quickly. The acting was good none of the characters or actors let you down.
