Mai oui!

To men of a certain age (myself included), Deneuve was and always will be a beautiful, sexy lady. But I never knew she was a comedienne, with a self-deprecating sense of humor, in on the joke. Put her and that other French icon, Gerard Depardieu together and you cannot miss. I can see how 20-somethings might not appreciate this movie, but to see these two war-horses disco dancing, and making fun of the whole sexual revolution/womens' liberation movement which in particular she represented in her prime, is priceless. Sure it's played a little over-the-top, but sit back and enjoy.

I liked the movie, very amusing, entertaining..not to take literally. It is a good, refined, interesting comedy. The actors are just wonderful. Catherine Deneuve plays right on the money. It tackles a lot of "very French" Society attitude towards chauvinistic men, their sexual abusive tendency, the women' sexual freedom, the right to strike well exploited till to day etc..It is a movie for adults and young adults. Very amusing can be outrageous for an american public not used to the this kind of mentality....But it is a comedy after all.

A fun French romp that plays on the political right-left charactures of French society of the 1970s and the nascent rise of feminism. It is a pleasurable hour and forty-five minutes.

This is a wonderful movie, particularly for over 40 set. It is well-acted, humerous, suprising and touching. Catherine Deneuve and Gerard Depardieu are wonderful. You leave smiling.
