    Great kids movie

    by big_al

As a fan of Miyazaki movies, I thought Ponyo was excellent. Of course this movie was clearly more geared towards younger children. Nevertheless, the movie itself had a great story, the voice acting was awesome and the animation was incredible.

    Ponyo

    by Spicy Eyes

I took my 9 year old daughter to this movie and we both loved it. I would recommend it to others. It has a sweet storyline that is easy for the children to follow. I would go again with my daughter.

    Beautiful simplicity

Ponyo does an amazing job of portraying a very uniquely styled magical world and at the same time, capturing what seems like a very truthful portrayal of the natural world of a very young boy. The way in which these very honest characters accept the magical world into their lives lets us enter that world, too, in a state of wonder rather than cynicism.

Charmingly detailed and more direct in narrative than some of the earlier films, this reinterpretation of The Little Mermaid's story is a celebration of community life, family commitment and respect for the natural world. It avoids cliche and spectacle and is utterly delightful as an entertainment or for fans of unique and personal animation by master artists.
