Movie was very disappointing. It was long and drawn out with the dialog given by the museum staff which was often spoken very fast with a hard British accent which was at times difficult to understand. The artifacts were interesting. I had expected the movie to give more documentation about the events before and after the eruption and not dwell on the artifacts.

A Good Time, but Could Have Been Better

Both my boyfriend and I had been hoping for more of a walk-through of the exhibit than a highlight reel. It was interesting and informative, but obviously their first attempt at a broadcast. Hopefully future British Museum broadcasts will be a little more polished and show more materials.

Movie theater was not on board!!

We arrived at 7pm for the 7:30pm movie. At 7:50pm we went to the manager at the Amc Orange, and said the movie had not started. Finally after a second person went to ask why the movie had not started, the Previews started. The previews played 4 times along with the pompei previews revolving several times. We went out again and complained. The movie came on 30 minutes into the program . It was very loud and they finally turned it down. The movie itself was narrated by pretty dry historians. I am a teacher and wished to have brought students, but for sure it was not appropriate at all with all the sex stories. ONly 6 people were in the theater. Our two guests are art professors too and were not impressed. The information was interesting but again not lively at all... Maybe having see the first part would have helped....

I enjoyed the film. I was surprised at how much humor there was in it. However, I will say that I was expecting some actual footage from Pompeii itself, not just the museum pieces. But, all in all, I enjoyed it, even @ $14.

15 dollars for a ticket..and then we spent much of the time looking at the people speaking??? Where were the pics of Pompeii or Herculaneum now? How about some real stories, that left us wanting more? Seriously? Although it had some interesting moments, (how could it not!) this should never have been shown in the theatre and I would like a refund!
