Loved it!

I made my husband go with me on Friday night --- and I loved this movie so much I had to go again on Saturday night with a friend of mine. I can't pin point why I loved this movie so much, I felt connected with the characters, and I thought Milo (Kit Harrington) was incredible. This movie had me on the edge of my seat, action, greed, power, romance... It's a must see- and it will definately be a movie that will be added to my personal collection when It comes out on DVD.

Pompeii Was Hot!

My 12 year old son and I saw this movie together. He can not stop talking about it. He said even knowing the ending first did not ruin it for him. The scenes were a little graphic but I felt like at times that all was not shown. We still got the jest of the story . The actor whose character was Milo did a fabulous job. The movie did a great job of making you feel like you were actually taking part.

Troy meets Titanic is a Visual Delight

The movie is beautiful and the digital effects are flawless. The director made some very good choices regarding the existence of the "gods" and left it to the viewer to determine if the "gods" were in deed punishing the people of Pompeii for their iniquities as well as the dramatic ending. The Roman Ludus story arc was like a condensed version of the Series ROME, mixed with Gladiator, Troy and Titanic - all of which are spectacular movies. Sutherland as the senator was the only drawback for me: was that really his voice, or was it dubbed? Really strange. As with most epic adventures, Pompeii is worth seeing on the big screen.

Worth seeing.

Great story, lots of action (not a dull moment) and good actors. The chemistry between the characters, (not just the hunky Kit Harington and Emily Browning) was believable and dynamic.

The realistic depiction of the eruption is absolutely amazing. Good story line as well, with some strong performances, but Vesuvius, as would seem appropriate, steals the show.
