I had high expectations and left disappointed

The story and characters weren't nearly as good as the Cars movies. There was definitely some funny parts and a lot of good action in the middle but the ending was flat. I kept feeling it was more a big commercial for toys and rides then the next generation of animated movies.

I found it a little slow at one point but over all great for kids, Remember its a kids movie for kids. My husband liked the WW2 references and stated the aviation terminology was correct , our son really loved it. Overall a lot of fun!!!!

I took my grandchildren to see this movie and they just love it This movie was well scripted and the voice choices were also cast perfectly. I love the story line and the medifore of believe in yourself and you can accomplish anything you want to, and accept help if you need it. My grandchildren were riveted to the seats and screen. this movie was so well done and the animator should be nominated for an Oscar, Sal tripi

I took my 3 year old daughter to see Planes, she couldn't quite understand why Lightning McQueen wasn't about. It kept her entertained but the storyline was a little lacking, but what do I expect after all it was a Disney film. Good characters but the usual bad guy, grumpy old sage who has a traumatic back story, comedy sidekick, beautiful girl, and enough highs and lows to make you air sick!!! All in all not too bad, lots of adult side jokes to keep the grown ups entertained, lots of action and great graphics to keep the kids happy......although I am still not 100% sure about the giant American Airlines product placement mid film!

Great First Movie Experience for my Toddler

I was slow getting into it, but, once I did, it had me hooked. I even cried! I was surprised to hear that Dane Cook was Dusty's voice - I was turned off at first, but he did a great job. My favorite part of the flick is how they planes end up in different parts of the world with awesome scenery and ethic music. We took our toddler for her first movie-going experience and she LOVED it, of course.
