This is one of the best animated features I have seen in a while. Great story line and characters. Kept the kiddos entertained the entire movie.

Okay, CARS broke new ground, being the first in the series. PLANES is following the same formula for story & characters (except there's no Mater character).
But they do a good job. Funny characters, nice settings. With this movie, Val Kilmer has been in Top Gun twice. Once as a pilot, once as a plane.

I took my grandchildren to see this movie and they just love it This movie was well scripted and the voice choices were also cast perfectly.
I love the story line and the medifore of believe in yourself and you can accomplish anything you want to, and accept help if you need it. My grandchildren were riveted to the seats and screen. this movie was so well done and the animator should be nominated for an Oscar,

If your kids loved Cars, they'll probably love Planes too. Much of the movie's story line and concepts are direct adaptations of the Cars story line - even characters seem to have direct parallels...but the story's message is a good one in usual Disney style and the music and action are fun on the big screen. This was my almost 3 year old's first movie theatre experience and he loved it.

This wa a little dissapointing. You spend all that money on a movie and the biggest issue is the story. The story could have been an opportunity to expand the Cars universe, not regurgitate an an aerial version
Wayward hero gets support fron small town friends (his best friend is a not so intelligent truck.)
Maybe an additional team of writers could have given this movie some wings. As it were, we enjoyed the chuckles and some of the action sequences in between dull or repeated story.
