The Gran Teatre del Liceu mounted this 2011 production of Pyotr Ilych Tchaikovsky's opera Pique Dame: The Queen of Spades, about the soldier Hermann, and his quest to win the heart of the elusive Lisa, and ascertain "the secret of the three cards" from her countess grandmother.
