My 13 yr. old and 10 yr. old grandkids and my husband and I all thought it was great! Wonderful for kids and adults alike. But like it was said before, this is a movie not a book. You will be delighted by this wonderful movie with great effects and its good CLEAN fun for the whole family for a great change. I was not disappointed at all and we all had smiles on our faces when we left!

So I was a fan of the first one, even though the story was slow at times and lines kind of corny, I really enjoyed the different story from what was currently out and the possibilities that were there. So when I heard the second one was coming out I was excited, but also unsure of how it was gonna turn out. I can say with total honestly that if you are on fence about this movie...SEE IT, the returning characters, the continued story line, the humor and twists all worth it. Its something everyone can enjoy for what it is. The action and graphics were refreshing to watch and see, the new and differing story from what has been released in recent years is a breath of fresh air. Enjoy everyone.

Read all the books, saw the first movie. It was a disappointment! Sea of Monsters was perfect! Realistic special affects, believable camp, followes book details better than first movie. Actors were believable, also. Well directed Kronos scared my granddaughter, she said he wasn't that scary in the book! Good entertainment!

Love it! It was definitely more true to the book than the first in many ways but the portrayal of each of the characters was superb, especially the new ones. And don't cry of Pierce Brosnan being gone Anthony Head was a more convincing Chiron. It was great to sse the old gang back again! Go Percy keep the series alive.

I found this movie to be enjoyable. Not exactly like the books, but enjoyable enough. It's not the kind of movie that you take too seriously, and it doesn't have the depth (either in character or story) as other Book-to-Big-Screen endeavors, but it is enjoyable nonetheless.
I do have a concern that if they don't continue to make these movies they will leave some loose threads unfinished, but otherwise, an enjoyable summer movie.
