My kids were bored and unimpressed. The screenplay lacked suspense, the characters were weak (Luke & Annabeth were in key roles but their roles were weakly written.
3D was awful - in fact my eyes strained so much I had to take the glasses off epriodically. Characters & things that weren't in prime focus were blurry and strenuous to see.
Overall this film was low quality and clearly cashing in on the first one' fame. So, go if you must (my kids were desperate to see it). And definitely don't pay for 3D.

It's fun for the readers of the the Percy Jackson series, ages 8 and up. Lots of action and fantasy with a smart connection to Greek mythology.

Really love this series and so seeing the film was an easy choice. I will say it was too short for my liking and needed more Grover time but otherwise it was a fun way to spend 2 hours and see the characters grow.

It was okay for a kid movie, but for us fans of the best selling series, it was horrid! Just like The Lightning Thief! I don't know how Rick Riordan stands it, seeing his own excellent book get butchered up on the big screen! I would take it as an embarrassment, but that's me. I could count at least 22 mistakes from the movie to the book. For your own sake, I won't list them because the list would probably go on and on and on. But, if your a fan of the books, don't go!

Seeing kids grow up and become full-fledge demi-gods -working out good verses evil is a great way for young people to pick a side - hopefully to do the right thing.
The movie was exciting -fighting without the gore.
The teen boys and girls were friends - not romantically involved - another way to show respectful relationships.
3D was good -but not needed to enjoy the movie.
