My kids were bored and unimpressed. The screenplay lacked suspense, the characters were weak (Luke & Annabeth were in key roles but their roles were weakly written.
3D was awful - in fact my eyes strained so much I had to take the glasses off epriodically. Characters & things that weren't in prime focus were blurry and strenuous to see.
Overall this film was low quality and clearly cashing in on the first one' fame. So, go if you must (my kids were desperate to see it). And definitely don't pay for 3D.

This movie was beautifully filmed. I had a 13 year old and an 8 year old with me and they were both enthralled thru the movie. The 13 year old stated that he thought it was better than the first one. The characters are well drawn and the animation is amazing.

I am a huge fan of the Percy Jackson series, so this movie was a big disappointment. It did not follow the plot of the book at all. If you haven't read the book, then this movie is okay, but the lines were predictable and corny. If you've read the book, don't waste your time on this movie.

Departs majorly from the book, but so did the first one. Overall tho a very good movie and sets up to do the rest of the series. If you liked the books, it's staying to the main plot but otherwise be ready for major changes.

Really love this series and so seeing the film was an easy choice. I will say it was too short for my liking and needed more Grover time but otherwise it was a fun way to spend 2 hours and see the characters grow.
