Fun movie for whole family (over age of 6) to enjoy. Good underlying messages. Good graphics. Truly enjoyed.

The movie was good and continues on with the storyline but leave it open to go into the next book. Lots of action but the first one was better.

Nice mythological references, cool effects in 3D

Having not seen the first one yet, I can't comment on how it compares. The characters are likeable enough and the effects and 3D are enjoyable. While nothing super new here, it's enjoyable fare and Greek mythology lovers or D&D fans will appreciate some of the monster references in particular.

Don't Bother

We really enjoyed the first Percy Jackson movie, as did our 3 sons. Sadly, this movie was nowhere nearly as good as the first one. Our 15 and 13 year olds said this was "one of the worst movies ever..." I would have to agree, despite some of the funny moments and excellent special effects, this movie was just not worth the time or the expense.

The one liners were ongoing and hilarious! The problem is that Percy was much younger in the books. While I understand that in order to keep Logan and the other main actors in place, some adjustments had to be made. I, as an older reader, enjoyed it. However, faithful younger readers may be somewhat disappointed in this and subsequent films. Those who have not read the books, should not assume that the films are for younger audiences.
