    Penelope

     by  singme

I liked this movie. I thought it was cute and sweetly done. The message is a good one for young girls or girls of any age, for that matter, in these days when everyone is on a quest for perfection.

    I give it a B+

    Penelope-the better fairy tale

     by  DreamScape2001

I loved this movie. I loved the message it brings home to any young adult, especially young women. I adored the fact that the leading man wasn't prefect. That nobody is fully wicked or fully good, but multiple levels of gray.

This is simply the best, realistic (if a fairy tale can be realistic), moral of the story fantasy I have seen in awhile.

This movie was GREAT! I'm really glad i decided to watch it. it had a good message behind it and i know for sure i will be adding it to my dvd collection. All the characters in this movie had great roles, christina ricci and james mcavoy were amazing together.!

    Penelope

     by  elisamaza

It wasn't bad - it just wasn't very good. It's insubstantial, but that's not really a problem for me in a movie like this. There was something flat about it that I couldn't quite put my finger on, like it wasn't quite enough of what it needed to be.

Christina Ricci mostly does a good wide-eyed not-completely-innocent (her lack of naivete is one of the better parts of the movie); James McAvoy is mostly charming enough, though I expected better from someone who managed to shine while wearing prosthetic faun legs. Catherine O'Hara is just not funny enough, which I suspect has more to do with the writing than with her. Not surprisingly, Peter Dinklage turns in the best performance, but he's not on screen enough to make it a better movie.

All in all, I'd say the best part was Penelope's scarf, to which I give 5 stars.

    WHAT?

A girl with a pigs snout... this was the DUMBEST AND WORST WRITTEN MOVIE I HAVE EVER SEEN!!! I would rather watch the brave little toaster over and over again then sit through ten minutes of this terrible movie.

Penelope is a great family movie

     by  PRB

I was pleasantly surprised by Penelope. It has a great message for people of all ages but especially young girls. I don't want to say too much more than that and spoil the plot. It was a clean and positive movie.

I thought Penelope was refreshing. showing hope & also learning to love ones self, it had good morals and gave a great example of what love is. iI'm anxious to see it again. ~ Missy, WPB FL
