    Move over, Bond

    I really liked it a lot and am now a huge Jason Statham fan. Action, excitement, - totally kept me engaged and entertained - even at the 10:20 pm starting time. I see a sequel. I hope that isn't just wishful thinking. James Bond, move over. We have a new sheriff in town, and his name is Parker. 4 stars out of 5 for the amount of entertainment I got from it. There are some pretty grisly scenes, but not gratuitous, IMO. For anyone who likes the Bourne, Bond, etc. films.....I think you'll dig it.

    The second half is good.

    This is really two movies, a really bad one during the first half and a pretty good heist film during the second half. There's plenty of revenge and butt-kicking Jason-Statham-style. There are also plenty of interestingly idiotic bad guys who seem to pull off the impossible with genius, only to ultimately mess things up like retards. Anyway, if you can make it past the first 45 minutes, you'll be glad you stayed for the second half. Unfortunately, this isn't enough recommend the movie because the first half was bad enough to clear out 4 people from the audience I saw it.

    PARKER

    We always love Jason Stratham, and his films. Love Jennifer Lopez, but, this part was beneath
    her acting talents. It did not make sense, she had street smarts, but, was dumb in so many other ways. She must learn to modulate your voice, it is too high pitched. I think the screenwriter could have written a better part for Jennifer, as she is so talented and beautiful. Patti Lupone's part was not very good, terrible acting, and again she has talent. May be something was lost in the editing? Over all we enjoyed the movie, it kept our interest, I recommend seeing it!

    Great Movie

    This movie gives all the entertainment needed in an action movie, terrific acting, excellent storyline that stays ahead of you, and an actor worth watching. If you are looking for fun, sexiness, and action, see this movie. I give it a 9 out of 10 :)

    Though the movie dragged a bit I found the action scenes, humor, and story interesting. Plus Jennifer Lopez did a great job with her character. I say Go.

    Jason Stratham is an excellent actor. This movie was great from the beginning to the end. Action packed. Great story line and deliverence. Will see again.

    It was a fantastic, action packed movie. I was so glad J-Lo wasn't his love interest in this movie. There wasn't much sex, just lots of action and blood; like all of Jason Statham movies! GO SEE!!

    the Violence is NOT good, and the guns are not good, So I feel there should be more gun control in Hollywood and I feel there should be more rules on the guns also.

    Doesn't Disappoint...Good Plot, Well Executed...Lots Of Action.

    Jason Statham's movies are always action packed and this one is no exception. A better story here than most of his past attempts, coupled with Lopez, makes for a fine film. Although a bit formulaic as crime dramas go, it's easy to forget that when immersed in the action. All-in-all this one is definitely worth the price of a ticket. See it. You won't be disappointed.

    Saw it last night. Jason was his usual bad-*** self and did not disappoint in the action department. But Jennifer Lopez?? She was totally useless. All she did was f**k things up for Jason. She wasn't even a love interest since they made it clear early on that he had someone! This movie would have been 10 times better if they had left her on the cutting room floor. Better yet, not even put her in the script to begin with!!

    to heck with the critics

    You wanna go to a movie and be entertained? then this is one for you, and most likely the
    spouse also. Went with my better half and we both loved it. Best movie I've seen since the christmas week.and we see a LOT! of movies what with all the gift certificates we get for Christmas. Don't let the so called "movie critics" make you not see this movie. They frankly
    are full of it. [themselves mostly]

    satisfying shoot em up

    Statham does not disappoint in this limited dialogue action thriller. There are lots of explosions and tense moments throughout. Lopez is not annoying unlike other films in which I have seen her. She is gracious in the secondary role. Patti Lupone is always amazing in anything, even just this tiny part. What a great actress! The movie is lots of fun for those who enjoy this genre.

    McGlaughlin and JLo kill Parker

    Love Jason, great action and unique fights. They made a good action/character movie and then Jennifer showed up and said, ?Hey, can I be in the movie although it?s already done?? Then they made up a role for her, as long as she?d wear skin tight skirts in every scene with long slow shots of her booty-walk away every, single, idiotic, stupid time. Good grief ? she?s no love interest since Parker is happily married to a hot young babe, so why is JLo in it? Maybe they wanted to take if from 3 ½ stars to 2 stars hoping JLo would jump the box office take. Must be the paparazzi syndrome where we just want to watch stars in motion and don?t care about the story. Me, I want story, then performance by pros. Jen, keep singing, dating the high school back-up singers, and being mom to the twins and leave the acting to the professionals. Can?t recommended it since the script is full of nonsensical plot twists to force Jennifer into the fold. Sorry D.E Westlake (author), McLaughlin & JLo kill Parker

    Jason Statham never disappoints

    I went to see Jason do his thing and I was not at all disappointed. It's an escapist movie with a generally predictable plot, but that's what I was expecting. In fact, it exceed expectations in the sense that it had a couple of different story lines that I thought broke up the typical formulaic approach that movies such as this often have. I had read some reviews that said "Lopez was an unnecessary distraction." I disagree--I think she added to the variety. I think the bad guys were really bad and I think that parker was a "noble" bad guy. The action scenes were excellent--a bit fewer than some of his other movies in some respects. But satisfying. I'd give it 3.25/5 stars---but I think that's a strong rating for this genre. I liked it and I say go. You're not going to leave thinking it's the best thing you've seen, but I don't think you'll leave saying "wish I'd seen something else".

    Good story line and plenty of action!

    Jason Statham never disappoints and he's easy on the eyes to boot! Jennifer Lopez did well and even though she was the leading lady it wasn't an action film with a love connection which is great considering the norm of guy saves girl action movies out here.
