I took my 12 and 4 y/o boys to watch this movie. I did laugh more than they did, but my 12 y/o said he enjoyed it too. I guess I got more of the humor than he did. It was a clean and family oriented movie with a nice life lesson to take with you. I loved Crystal/Midler and kids were adorable.

Go see this movie. You will laugh out loud through out and then cry like a baby.
Masters of the comedic art make this movie a stupendous family event.

A solid film here, populated with A-list talent that doesn't disappoint. You simply can't go wrong with this one, especially if you like to laugh. See it and take the kids along. You'll neither need to cover their eyes or their ears. You'll enjoy it too. This film's a refreshing change from all the horror and ghoulishness that's been infecting theater screens these past months. A little love and kindness goes a long way and this is one of those movies that reminds us of what's really important in our lives.....children and family.

went to see this movie last night with my 6, 10 & 12 year old boys...we LOVED it! kids laughed and laughed...and my husband and I did lots of head nodding and laughing as we related to so many of the "new parenting" ways that frustrate us as well! a very "true to life" movie with a great script...parts played SO well by all. and i have to admit, i totally teared up at the end...it's got some really sweet and heart-wrenching moments as well. completely family-friendly...there was nothing inappropriate for my 6-year old...although he is a 3rd kid, so we are probably a little relaxed about some language. :/ a must-see for families...the wonderful "cross-generational" message that other reviewers mentioned is right!!!

My husband and I went to see this movie on New Years Eve. I really liked it. There were laughs and there were tears, and of course, the happy ending. While the movie is rated PG, I don't think that my 7 yr old grandson would have sat still through it. Not enough real "kid stuff" in it. However, all the adults in the theatre totally related! Bette Midler and Billy Crystal are a great combo!
I would watch it again!
