The trailers on this are somewhat misleading. While it has some very comical excerpts and had the kids laughing, there are some dark corners that might not be appropriate for smaller children. Halfway through, I found myself debating whether or not to stay....I had taken friends of my grandson so was very concerned about the content and the affect it might have on the children. There are some good themes in this movie and the message was not completely lost, but it is not exactly age appropriate for elementary children and I think it lacks the interest from the middle school children that it might be aimed at or are more mature to understand.

A fun movie with minor pacing issues

Really, the title says it all. This movie is a lot of fun. There's a great deal of tongue-in-cheek humor, and ultimately it has a worthwhile message - Don't be a bully. It's just not nice. Unfortunately, through much of the movie, it feels like it takes way to long to get anywhere. Certainly a movie worth seeing, but you probably won't feel too bad if you miss the big screen and end up watching it as a rental instead.

Cute, scary for small children but good introduction to to the genera. Conservative families may not be so keen with the "lifestyles" mentioned but not explored. Too bad I can't give something in between a so-so and go.

Fun for all ages!

This movie is not just for children, but for adults as well. "ParNorman" is about a buy that noone in the town understands, you see, he can see the dead and everyone thinks he is crazy. Little do they know, he is the one boy that can save the town from raging zombies and a century old curse. This movie was terrific that it explained that everybody gets bullied at some point in their lives, but it is up to them to make the choice of whether you should stand up, or just be bullied your whole life. We have voices from Kodi Smit-McPhee (Norman Babcock), Tucker Albrizzi (Neil), Anna Kendrick (Courtney), Casey Affleck (Mitch), Christopher Mintz-Plasse (Alvin), Leslie Mann (Sandra Babcock), Jeff Garlin (Perry Babcock), and John Goodman (Mr. Prenderghast). This movie could be scary for young kids, for the zombies and dark elements. Older kids will love it, and adults will also enjoy it. If you are a fan of Halloween and zombies, this is an awesome animated movie to get us in the mood.
