Fabulous movie!

This is a great movie with a good message for everyone. It probably isn't appropriate for younger children, but definitely worth watching with your older ones. I laughed myself silly at some parts and was actually a little worried for poor Norman in others. I'm not certain seeing it in 3D is necessary, but I enjoyed the experience nontheless. Definitely a must see while it's in theaters as I think a lot of the impact of some the scenes would be lessened on the small screen after it comes out on DVD.

Maybe its just me but it seems more and more "childrens" movies have adult themes. ParaNorman was a good movie and was funny but my children didn't quite get all of it. My son is 11 and has Down Syndrome. He didn't really get it and wanted to go home about 3/4 of the way through the movie. My 9 year old daughter liked it but asked a lot of questions about the movie afterward. There are humor references that kids absolutely won't get and the subject matter of the film is quite heavy for kids but... It is a good film. If you are expecting a light hearted kids film, it is not really that. The 3D looks fabulous. I think it is meant more for adults but can be enjoyed by kids.

Adorable take on a boy with a sixth-sense, his relationship with his family, the bullies at school, and the zombies he is tasked to help. He wins at every juncture.

Too much for the little ones?

I loved it but my seven and nine year old kids thought it was too scary. They were also upset to hear the story behind the witch girl.

ParaNorman 3D is a great movie for the whole family

I love, love, loved this movie. Not too scary for all but the youngest set and brings out the point that not everyone is the same and that is a good thing. It was nice that two outcasts became friends and the older sister did acknowledge her younger brother had some good qualities.
