As a fan of the movie Coraline, I wanted to see ParaNorman in 3D - before it is no longer in theaters. The 3D was ok, probably just as good in 2D. Story held together, with many memorable characters. It is unfair to compare Coraline to ParaNorman - they are entirely different stories, both are wonderful. However, if I had to pick one of these, Coraline is my favorite.
ParaNorman is probably too scary for very young children, although none of the little ones seemed unduly frightened during the screening that I attended. I highly recommend ParaNorman, see it before it disappears!

Interesting stop-motion animation; refreshing change from the Disney/Pixar/Dreamworks SKG clean, nice animated worlds. Great themes (it's ok to be different and just because you're bullied doesn't give you the right to bully others) and loved the twist at the end! A sweet movie with some humor, creepiness and heart.

Brought my children to see this last night. So boring that they starting asking me when it was going to be over within 10 minutes of the movie starting. Waste of $80. Don't bother.

Sexual remarks, homosexuality, suggestions that kids are watching porn on TV...
My 9, 12 and 13 year old kids were disappointed with several sexual and homosexual remarks in this movie. I was pretty much embarrassed too as many other parents with young kids at the cinema. General citizens of the town were shown so dumb, my kids said: Dad, we do not want to live in America like one shown here...
