I thought it was a good movie overall. I would not consider it a scarry movie. It was entertaining and I laughed more than I screamed.

Funny more than frightful

First of all, a little less swift camera movement would have enabled the viewer to actually see something to get scared of. It's better than the first two because of the attempt to deepen the plot of the series. The reason I gave it a so so is because far too much time was spent on making it funny and too little time on shock or fear - the reason folks like me pay to see these types of films. If all you are looking for is to take a wild ride watching a roller coaster thrill (some of you will get motion sickness and/or headaches), then this movie is for you. If you are going to see a scary movie that will make you leave the lights on when you settle in for the night... Skip it.

Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones

This was a good movie for those who are fans of the Paranormal Activity series. I love that this movie has a combination of funny moments and horrifying moments. The suspense is what makes these movies good. Some parts are a bit predictable but what counts is it made me scream out loud and I love when a horror movie can make you do that! :) It also helped that we were with a rowdy crowd in the theater which actually made the experience more fun. :) This movie won't be for everyone but I thought they did a great job and I love that they tied it into the original one.

Mark It!

If you're a fan of the PA series, The Marked Ones is a must-see. If you're a horror-suspense fan, but not necessarily a Paranormal Activity buff, you might have a mixed opinion. The first, true jump-scare comes after some build up; I'd been waiting. It got me, but I waited for it. For much of the film, the story stands apart from PAs 1-4, only loosely tied through references. Once the true connection's revealed by the second installment's Ali, the role reprised by Molly Ephraim, the pace quickens. The twists and turns lead through SoCal - and time (what?) - until the final, mind-blowing scene. Like I said, as a fan of the series, I left the theater with more questions than answers, which has always been the true allure of the Paranormal Activity franchise. For the casual fan and the newcomer, The Marked Ones may leave some things on the table; but I'd remind you: take it for what it is - another film in the already-saturated supernatural genre. Remember this, and enjoy!

Time to end the Paranormal experience

The movie had some funny parts, mildly funny to say the least. Better than part 4 which was one of the worst movies I've ever seen period but overall just another bland movie. The so called scary parts made me either laugh or not flinch at all. And the ending was pretty lame too. Over the years I've enjoyed the laughs the movie had to offer because none of it scares me in the least bit. Better off waiting until it shows up on Netflix.
