THE BLOND STAR WAS BEAUTIFUL. THE MOVIE WAS BORING AND DRAGGED-ON. THE ENDING (LAST 15 MINUTES) WAS FAIRLY EXCITING. THE PRODUCTION COSTS COULD NOT HAVE EXCEEDED $88.00.

Another year, another Paranormal Activity. This one follows the same tried-and-true formula for creating suspense. But the cat's out of the bag for this one. You almost expect all the scary moments, as they all are taken from previous Paranormals. Still the movie uses lighting and sound well to create the perfect atmosphere for a fright. The coolest aspect of it is how it uses an Xbox Kinect and a night vision camera. The night vision camera picks up the tracking dots that the Kinect uses to track movement, so just imagine the possibilities. All in all, not the scariest or the best Paranormal Activity. But if you like them, you'll at least enjoy this somewhat. Otherwise, don't waste ten bucks on ever increasing movie tickets.

If you like the PA series for the scare factor, you probably will NOT be disappointed seeing PA4. Like PA3, the jumpy pop-out scenes start early on, fade into creepy suspense building scenes, then intensifies at the end. I like this series simply because every movie has gotten me to scream, jump up, or at least want to turn away from looking at the screen.
If you like the PA series for the plot, you WILL probably be disappointed seeing PA4. Just from watching the previews or reading the plotline, you go into the movie already knowing what the whole movie builds you up to find out. It doesn't answer any questions left unanswered from PA3, and actually confused me more. I've been reading message boards to find the answers to see if I missed something in PA4, but people seem just as unsettled with where they're taking the franchise as I am.
All in all, if you're looking for a night out with a few heart racing moments, go.
If you're into it for the story, wait for it to be on DVD.

All the activity has led to what?! This movie was what you're expecting nothing new there! While I loved the movie, I must say that I would rate it below the other three. It is slow compared to the other three. Not alot going on really. It focuses more on the f***ed lil kid from across the street. I would go watch it again and will buy the Blu-ray when it comes out but I would have to give it an 8 out of 10. They focused a lil bit on the circle in the triangle design but never explained it?! Why put it in the movie if you're not going to elaborate on the significance of it? The ending is the best part of the movie. Brace yourself for the last 15 minutes, as it is easily the most f***ed part of the movie!! Still, if you're a fan of the series you will want to see this movie just don't expect anything new. Don't really know how much more they can do with this series. Guess we'll just have to wait and see. Still just want to see how much more they can do with this.

I was introduced to the PA series when a friend and I went to see 3 last year. I was so scared my legs were weak and literally kept giving out from underneath me as I tried walking out of the theater, tripping over my feet all the way out to the car. Security laughed at us.
After recovering, I got up the nerve to watch them all at home and was not disappointed with the previous 2 releases. I couldn't wait for 4 to come out.
I went to the sneak peek showing, and couldn't have been more disappointed. You get startled a couple times, but never scared. It was extremely predictable and the ways the people were killed weren't even worth the time spent watching.
Even worse- I got to see this movie for FREE and it was still this huge of a disappointment.
The people in charge of this franchise have quite obviously checked out. Don't waste your money OR your time.
