My wife and I don't get to see movies very often, and she really wanted to see a scary movie. So we went to Paranormal Activity 4, and she has yet to see her scary movie. This movie, like the others, draws out for almost an hour before anything interesting happens, and even then it is disappointing.
No major activity.
Deaths were VERY unoriginal and uneventful, serious? Snapped neck and fall from ceiling? Really?
The ending, oh it gets worse they have really ruined this block of movies for good!

All good things must come to an end. This is the first time I was at a movie, and the audience booed and groaned at the end. It slow paced, way too similar to previous Paranormal movies. In fact, it was so similar that the movie itself and everything about it was "normal" and lacking the same "this is too real" shockers. The end, was at best, cheap, predictable, and disappointing.

After seeing the movies get better and better, I had very high hopes for this movie. I did not expect any of the scenes in the trailer to be in the movie, and unlike PA3, all but one were in the actual movie. Additionally, the camera work in this movie felt very forced. Unfortunately, I felt as though they took zero risks while filming. The movie did not reveal any new information and left me with a lot of questions.

Actually I didn't expect much of this movie since to me the title I used for description says in all. I think because the first one didn't have much advertising, as an audience you didn't know what to expect. But at this point with so many wannabe's behind the whole premise you can only see where the storyline takes you. It does have a few jump and whoa did you see that moments. The dialogue between the teens in this movie was really irritating and the video chat between the teens reminded me of Blair Witch in some scenes. My only question is how did two boys come to be in this story when originally there was only one Hunter?

Overall, the movie was decent, but it seems there is getting to be more of a reach for a plot with each new release in this series. The suspense was good and it had a lot of the "boo" factor involved per the previous releases, yet this movie didn't really have any hair-raising moments. If you like the series, go see it, but I wouldn't be disappointed if it left theaters before I had the chance to go.
