In this spoof, a completely clueless goofball named Pantelei stumbles into and out of adventures for the duration of the Second World War, mostly because of some lost identity papers. His good intentions often bring him to the brink of heroism, but it is a precipice he never quite leaps over. He is harassed by nearly everyone: occupiers, collaborationists, partisans in the resistance, and even (at the end) a policeman from the new revolutionary government. ~ Clarke Fountain, All Movie Guide
