WELL-DONE. Exceptional modern fable. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. A-plus.

     by  MOVIES REVIEWER

I saw Pan's Labyrinth when it was in the theaters.

It is a MUST-SEE movies for serious fantasy and art-film fans - and across the board.

This is truly 'film-making'. And writer/director Guillermo del Toro proved his mettle in his chosen field with this LUSH breath-taking gorgeous movie filled with icons and various thematic elements (good vs evil, compassion/kindness vs cruelty/brutality, redemption/forgiveness vs vengeance, etc.). This ARTIST is truly gifted in his work and it shows in his care/artistry in lifting this movie to something more than just another fantasy. Pan's Labyrinth is first-class quality appetizer, entree, and dessert served with mastery and loving-care.

Pan's Labyrinth draws you in - holds you enthralled as it follows Ofelia's adventures (and mis-adventures)...through well-crafted landscapes riveting cinematography and her eerie encounters with bone-chilling antagonistic fantastic creatures.

The Spanish dialogue infuses the movie with an exotic aura.

Fairy tale not for little kids

     by  ANGELROD

I just loved this movie. The plot, acting and story were briliant and they make you want to know more about the director Guillermo Del Toro who created this "obra maestra." Everyone who likes fantasy and drama defenately needs to check this movie, 'El Laberinto del Fauno.' 2 thumbs UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Beautiful film.

If you don't mind the subtitles or the violence, then maybe you can enjoy the movie as much as I did. I thought the story was amazing, and the acting and filming both incredible.

    Absolute Gem! Creative and moving!!

     by  kryssie

This movie was a great surprise!!!! My 15 year old son loved it as well. I would not take a child much younger than that, the violence is brutal. To all the reviewers complaining about the subtitles should grow up a bit. Some of the best movies are foreign and have subtitles. After the first five minutes you don't even realize you are reading. Dubbing ruins a film. The dubbing actors never get the right inflection and sometimes the match is horrible. Don't let the subtitles scare you away this a a wonderfully creative and moving film.

    A Mind-Blowing Fantasy Classic

     by  Moviedude

First off this has got to be the greatest fantasy movie ever made. Every aspect of this one-of -a kind movie is beautiful and flawless.I absolutely think this is the perfect fantasy, and movie, the best since The Wizard of Oz.Del Toro masterfully weaves between the fantasy world, and the reality. This is just a beautiful film that should be seen by all, except little kids, the violence is pretty shocking, and probably would scar kids for life if they saw it,so save it until they are more mature, and grown up.

    Pan's Labyrinth

I was a little disappointed in the end, but I do encourage you to see this film. If you like fantasy you will like this film. Not for children.
