I loved Wahlberg and Johnson, but I don't like the filth etc in the movies. I thought they had more class. When doing a comidy etc, just tell the story. We don't need the sex and filth. It takes away from the entertainment. I will be more careful next time when choosing a movie. very disappointed D Warren

Not bad, not great...

I think it's a good movie, but I don't think it's a spectacular movie. It has a decent plot, it has some action, and a couple good laughs here and there, but it just missed *something.* I didn't walk away feeling a wow factor, and it's not one that I would probably watch again in the future unless I happened to catch it on TV. Still, not a bad movie, and I was kept entertained.

Some Funny Moments But Too Dark To Enjoy.

Frankly, to me this film is a surprising choice for Johnson, departing completely from his family-film-centered "gentle giant-ness" to that of a sinister, darkly disturbed, imbecilic murderer. As one of his long-term fans and a genuine admirer of his past heroic and near squeaky-clean character choices, this one was the MOST disappointing thus far. As for Mr. Marky Mark Walhberg, this character is but one he commonly plays, so it was a little easier to accept it, despite the fact his tiny 5 foot 7 frame next to that of the Rock's hulk most obviously had him spending most of this filming standing on pancakes (platforms) to keep him from looking like some mousy muscular dwarf aside Dwayne. The film itself is WAY TOO LONG and could easily have been cut to an hour thirty with no loss. Its entertainment value is so-so and at times comes off ugly in its attempt at comedic darkness. You might want to wait for the DVD or stream here. Likely, you'll be glad you did.

Thought this would be a funny, entertaining movie ( 2 actors I really like)...I was dead wrong. Watching these 2 use an ax to cut up the bodies of their robbery victims was gruesome (not something I expected in a comedy)...then there was the part where the Rock was "grilling" the severed hands of these same victims on the "bar-by"...poor, poor taste. Pornographic, gruesome, F-bombs every other word....save your money...don't even rent it! This movie could only be seen as entertaining by middle school boys.
