I saw it 3 times and each time I got a major rush. I am so geeked out on this movie. Wow I remember those Japanese’s movies back in the day when I was growing up. I thought the acting was great. And the soundtrack is so cool and I love it. Its a rush when I have it cranked inside my car driving down the highway or working out at the gym. Honestly I have to say that this was the best action movie for the summer of 2013, then the Man of Steel.

We had so much fun at this movie. This is what a summer blockbuster is supposed to be.Like a modern state of the art Saturday morning cartoon on steroids.

This movie was extremely well spaced, the action was intense but the spacing allowed you to enjoy these very spectacular action pieces. The 3D animation was excellent and I thought the story was well written. Enjoyed the performances by all these new actors.

Loved every minute of it, including the LACK OF ROMANCE. Actually, there was a little romance, and it was both original and supportive of the plot.

I'm not usually a giant robots kinda guy, but...

This movie converted the Giant Robots genre into a bit of a more palatable form for me, I think. My friends, who are more into the genre, told me that there were a number of love letters to other franchises in it, and the concept of drifting was interesting. I found the balance of humor and combat to be enjoyable as well. That said, it is probably best if you don't spend too much time questioning the plot or science behind the movie, because there are a number of missing bits and inconsistencies. However, they don't significantly take away from the merit of the movie.
