I'm not a Hilary Swank fan but I think I might be a Gerard Butler fan after this. And of course, I absolutely love Harry Connick Jr. This was a good movie.........a romantic comedy that really IS a romantic comedy.

Best Movie Ever Made!!!!
This is my all time fav. I have been married to the love of my life for eleven years, im sure that makes the movie hit home for me. Anyone woman who truly loves thier husband will have swollen eyes the next day! I have seen this movie more times than I can count and I cry more everytime. It does make me want to go to ireland to see men like that !!!!!!!You will laugh and cry all the way. Must see especially for women . A little advice, ladies watch it alone. Men will think you are crazy....

Amazing
I really think you need to be either married for a long time or in a relationship for you to truely appreciate this movie. This is my all time favorite movie. Recently my husband was diagnosed with a possibly terminal condition and I found myself watching this over and over. Gerry felt such unconditional love for holly and though holly was a firecracker she felt the same. It really is hard to imagine going through your life without the love of your life by your side but it can be done in stages. ty cecila for a wonderful story

I'm glad I waited to rent this!
The commercials for this movie made it look amusing, but there was very little amusement in it.
The only real thing this movie has going for it is the beautiful Irish scenery. If you're not that interested in that then I would suggest renting "French Kiss" with Meg Ryan and Keven Kline.
It's funny and very touching.
