I didn't go into this movie with high expectations but it did look visually outstanding and that it was! This is probably one of the best looking movies i've ever seen visually but other than that this movie was kind of just a decent movie though there was some really amazing parts. For example the part where he first gets to oz it's like a 3D ride which was cool and i liked the monkey in the movie and i really really liked rachel weisz she was awesome. I love james franco and i hate to say this but i've seen him in a lot of other things and they were all better then him as oscar diggs i mean he wasn't bad but it looked like he wasn't trying but thats just my opinion. I know this review came off as negative but after all my remarks i actually enjoyed this movie as a visual delight and would suggest it for a family movie night. Go see it in IMAX 3D it'll make it that more outstanding to look at! 7/10

Watching Oz on an IMAX screen in 3D was an amazing experience. This was my first movie at an IMAX theatre and was well worth the money. I've never seen anything like it. The movie just comes to life right in front of you. Beautiful scenery, spactacular special effects. This movie should only be seen in this format.

This movie was visually AAAMMMAZING!! It was more than I expected and I'm pretty sure I smiled through the entire movie. You really felt like you were on another place and time. I would watch this it again in the theater.

3-D effects were well done, feeling very much like a Raimi film, and the message was good. but the story fell flat and the acting was unconvincing considering the caliber of actors. the twist in the story about the sisters was a nice attempt to bring something interesting to the table, but in the end it felt like any other disney story of late, with nothing to really overcome the predictable nature of their films.

This was a stunning movie to watch. The settings, animations and visual effects were outstanding. Some touching moments and a few good character developments but overall the acting was not what you would expect and the storyline weak. Still, the movie was entertaining and enjoyable. Certainly suitable for all ages.
