critics are correct: acting is mediocre, but still wildly entertaining!

James Franco didn't capture the character of Oz correctly. The witches were also second rate in their acting. However, as an overall, performance, I was on the edge of my seat. I laughed, jumped up and felt an honest sense of wonderment. So, I ask you, when was the last time you could say that about a movie? NOT FOR YOUNGE KIDS!!!!!!! Only for the young kid inside you!

Don't waste your money

If you're interested in seeing James Franco and Mila Kunis looking overly astonished at a bunch of obvious green-screen/CGI effects, I guess this wouldn't be a total waste of your time. Rachel Weisz looked like a scared child floundering in front of a green screen pretending to fly. Also, why on Earth is Zach Braff allowed to play in movies? I spent the whole movie wondering how much jail time I could possibly get for choking him out.

The movie is very entertaining, the 2 hours plus went very quickly. The 3D movies are alot of fun and this is a great story about the Wizard. Great movie for the kids who are 7 and above. Not so much for the pre school group.

Saw this movie in IMAX 3-D. Sound and visual special effects were nothing less than amazing. Storyline is cute, but could have been about 20min shorter. I want my own "Finley" :)

I was skeptical as the cast is made up of a few folks I'd written off as overrated. However, this movie changed my mind. Performances were great. the effects were stellar and we had a great time. Must be seen in 3-D.
